What does the "CA" tag on an option quotation page mean?

The "CA" tag stands for a corporate action of the underlying stock. Corporate actions may include, for example, a stock split, reverse stock split, special dividend, merger, spin-off or other capital event.

Options marked with a "CA" tag are usually adjusted options. The option symbol may also contain a numerical suffix, such as "XXX1" or "XXX2", to indicate that the option contract is not a standard option contract.

Please note that a corporate action may affect the terms of the option contract, including but not limited to the number of deliverable shares per option contract, strike price, contract multiplier, exercise/assignment settlement result and effective cost. Before trading or holding such adjusted options, clients should carefully understand the relevant corporate action and its impact on the option contract, conduct their own due diligence and make their own investment decision.
